A Letter From Our President

Hi y’all! Welcome to the 2026 University of Mississippi College Panhellenic Primary Formal Recruitment! My name is Makayla Bihlmeyer, and I have the honor of serving as the President of the College Panhellenic Council. I am so excited to be the first to welcome you to our community of Panhellenic life at the Flagship! Over the past three years, this community has become my home, and I can’t wait for each of you to experience it as well. These women have been praying and preparing for your arrival, and I hope you know how loved you already are!

Ole Miss Panhellenic is the proud home of around 7,000 women within 11 NPC chapters. While each of these 11 chapters are unique, we are all united by a shared commitment to academic excellence, personal growth, and a passion for service. Our community holds our members to exceptional standards and is dedicated to ensuring an equitable and inclusive experience for all women. We strive to make our community a home where every member feels celebrated, supported, and included. Whether you are a legacy, a first generation college student, or simply curious about Greek life, know that you are valued and welcomed with love and open arms.

By joining a Panhellenic sorority, you are not only engaging yourself in endless opportunities for academic success, leadership, and philanthropic initiatives, but you are creating an invaluable support system. The journey you are about to embark on does not end once you graduate. The Ole Miss sorority experience brings about sisterhoods that last a lifetime.

Throughout recruitment, I urge you to remember two things: to keep an open mind and heart and to stay true to who you are. Keeping an open mind and heart can lead you to the most authentic and genuine sisterhood for you. Each chapter is looking for women who are sincere and confident in who they are. Through this week, think about who you are, what you value, and your goals for your time at Ole Miss. Recruitment is as much about discovering what you want in a sisterhood as it is about sororities getting to know you.

Words cannot express how excited I am to start the recruitment process with every single one of you. Please feel free to reach out to myself, my amazing executive council, and the Fraternity and Sorority Life office about all things Panhellenic and recruitment at collegepanhellenic@olemiss.edu and (662)915-7609. Best of luck as you begin your journey with Ole Miss Panhellenic, and remember to keep an open mind and heart and stay true to yourself! Enjoy this time and trust in the process that wonderful things are coming your way! Hotty Toddy!

With Panhellenic love,

Makayla Bihlmeyer
